Abstract

|
Sweet’s syndrome is also called acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis and this disease is characterized by an abrupt onset of fever, leukocytosis and tender erythematous plaques that are infi ltrated by neutrophils. It most commonly occurs in women who are between 30 to 50 years of age. About 50% of the cases are associated with autoimmune disease, sarcoidosis, Behcet’s disease, and pregnancy. We report a case of Sweet’s syndrome associated with pregnancy with such a stormy clinical course requiring elective termination of gestation by induction of labor.
